The Great Barrier Reef Festival is celebrating 25 incredible years in 2026, and we’re inviting local businesses to turn the town silver with creative, colourful, reef-inspired window displays. Think shimmering storefronts, birthday vibes, underwater magic, window fronts that stop people in their tracks.
With thousands of festivalgoers exploring the main street and foreshore throughout the weekend, the Window Dressing Competition is your chance to stand out, have fun, and become part of the festival atmosphere that locals and visitors love.

How to Participate:
- Register Your Store: Sign up below by Wednesday July 29, 2026
- Decorate: From Wednesday July 29 to August 2, adorn your storefront to reflect the theme. Be as creative and unique as possible!
Judging will evaluate the decorations based on creativity, originality, and overall appeal. Voted by the community over the Great Barrier Reef Festival weekend.
