Time: 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Float into Sunday mode at Sunday Sounds, our most chilled out Great Barrier Reef Festival event. From 2pm, the Reef Bar transforms into your Sunday sanctuary, with live music, beachside breezes, and relaxed coastal vibes rolling into the sunset. Lounge on the lawn, sip something refreshing, and soak in the sounds of the sea with friends, family, and fellow festival-goers.

Whether you’re winding down the weekend or making it last a little longer, Sunday Sounds is all about kicking back, listening in, and loving where you are.

Live Music Lineup:

Brad Butcher

Central Queensland’s Brad Butcher is one of Australia’s most respected country storytellers. With multiple Golden Guitars under his belt and a voice that carries the grit of the outback and the soul of a poet, Brad blends working-class roots with modern country heart.

Whether you know him from The Voice Australia, or his award-winning albums like East of Everything, Brad’s performance is honest, powerful, and deeply moving.

JC & The Tree

Hailing from the Sunshine Coast, JC and the Tree create enchanting folk-rock that weaves intricate melodies with a heartfelt connection to nature.

Their music is inspired by the world around them — from the mountains to the ocean with true lyrical depth — and brought to life with soaring violin, warm harmonies, and rich acoustic textures. A crowd favourite for their originality and authenticity, JC and the Tree will take you on a sonic journey.

David Flower

David Flower is the kind of performer who lights up a stage with musical charisma and skill. Combining blues, funk, folk, and rock, his unique sound is driven by catchy rhythms, raw guitar work, and a dynamic harmonica.

With decades of songwriting under his belt and a reputation for high-energy live shows, David brings good vibes and great tunes to the foreshore — the ideal way to ease into your Sunday evening.

Ease into Sunday and say farewell to the festival in true Whitsundays style — with music, mates, and memories.

Reef Festival Official After Party

After the Sunday Sounds fade why not head on over to KC’s Bar & Grill on the main street, grab a steak and a drink and carry on the evening listening to live music at the official Reef Festival After Party.
